2. What this website does not do

This website is deliberately built to collect as little data as possible. So that you don’t have to search through standard wording, here first is what does not happen here:

  • We do not set any cookies.
  • We do not use any analytics, tracking or audience measurement services.
  • We do not embed any social media plugins, map or video services.
  • We do not load fonts from external servers. The NN Arosa typeface used here is delivered from our own server; no connection to third parties is made.
  • There is no contact form. The contact options are simple email and phone links.
  • We do not run a newsletter system and do not carry out any profiling.

For this reason, the website does not need a consent banner.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider:

IONOS SE
Elgendorfer Straße 57
56410 Montabaur
Germany

On our behalf, IONOS processes the data that is technically generated when the website is accessed (see section 4). We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing this website securely and reliably.

IONOS is a company based in Germany, and the website is stored on servers within the European Union. No personal data is transferred to a third country as part of the hosting. You can find more information in the IONOS privacy policy (in German).

4. Server log files

Each time this website is accessed, technical data transmitted by your browser is collected automatically. This includes in particular:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • address accessed and amount of data transferred
  • notification of successful retrieval or error message
  • browser type, browser version and operating system
  • where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer)

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, keep it stable and detect attacks. It is not combined with other data sources, and we do not analyse it to identify individuals.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose, at the latest after 30 days.

5. Contacting us

You will find email addresses and phone numbers on this website. If you contact us through them, we process the information you provide — usually your name, contact details and the content of your message — solely to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. For business correspondence, the retention periods under German commercial and tax law of six and ten years respectively apply.

6. Recipients of your data

We do not pass your data on to third parties for advertising purposes. The only recipients are:

  • our hosting provider (see section 3), under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR
  • our email provider, if you contact us by email
  • tax advisers and authorities, where we are legally obliged to do so

7. Storage period

We process personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. It is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply. Business and commercial letters are kept for six years, accounting records for ten years.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If you have given consent to processing, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9. Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

Die Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen)
Arndtstraße 1
27570 Bremerhaven
Germany
Phone: +49 421 361-2010
Email: office@datenschutz.bremen.de

11. Encrypted transmission

This website is delivered exclusively via encrypted HTTPS (TLS). You can see this in your browser’s address bar. Data you send to us therefore cannot easily be read by third parties.

Please note that this does not cover unencrypted emails. For confidential information, please choose another channel or talk to us.

12. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

We update this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or the technology used on this website changes. The version published here applies.
